Twin Moons Pottery was at Thurmont, Maryland's Catoctin ColorFest in October 2010. We had a wonderful time selling our pottery and meeting all the people who attended the event. ColorFest is the festival of all festivals for the region and always a pleasure to be a part of. We hope to return to the festival in October 2011.
February 2011 found us participating in our "Potter's Bowl" for Washington county. Area potters contribute their bowls for the very worthy cause of raising much needed funds to help keep the Washington County Free Clinic up and running for those in need of medical care.
June 18th, 2011 will find us at Shippensburg, PA "Soltice Art Festival". It is sponsored by" SHAPE" which is Shippensburg Arts Programming and Education organization. The event will be in the Shippensburg Township Park on Britton road. There will be artists, musicians, chefs, and performers at the event. The event is open to the public and takes place from 8:00-? Twin Moons Pottery will be at the 45th Annual Lititz Outdoor Art Show On the last Saturday in July 30, 2011 in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The Art Show will be from 9:00 to 5:00 Rain or shine. The Art Show will be in Lititz Springs Park- Route 501 Between The Square and RR Tracks, right next door to Wilbur Chocolate Factory. There will be original art available for sale in a variety of mediums. Oils, Acrylics, Watercolors, Pastels, Drawings, Graphics, Woodcarving, Handthrown and Handbuilt Pottery, Metal Working. The Art Show is sponsored by the Village Art Association. Hope to see you there!
Twin Moons Pottey will be participating in the 4th Annual "Autumn Arts Festival" in the beautiful Hagerstown City Park, September 17th and 18th 2011 from 10:00-5:00. We will be located near the Hager House area of the park. This festival will feature artisans in various mediums, music, food vendors, childrens activities and French and Indian and Living History area .
October 8th and 9th 2011 will find Twin Moons Pottery at the 48th Annual "Catoctin Colorfest" in beautiful Thurmont, Maryland. We will be located in the Community Park area on Frederick Road. The festival features 360 juried Arts and Crafts and takes place from 9:00-5:00 each day. Admission is free to the festival and there is a shuttle bus available. October 15, 2011, we will be at the "Smoketober Fest" at Rhodes Grove Camp and Conference Center, 7693 Brown's Mill Road, Chambersburg, PA. which is located off of Route 11 between Greencastle and Marion PA. The event features 42 competing barbeque teams and is an officially sanctioned event by the Kansas City BARBEQUE society. There will be a variety of activities through out the day, music, children's activities, auctions, helicopter rides, food vendors and artisans... admission is free 9:00-5:00

Twin Moons Pottery is pleased to announce that we are offering classes in clay...
We have a class designed especially for the youngest artists it is called "Little Hands-Big Hands" for ages 4-12, plus one adult The class explores handbuilding techniques in clay such as pinch pots, coil pots and slab work. The class is 2 1/2 hours long and includes instruction, clay, glazing and firing of creations made during the workshop. Classes may be private or done in a group situation. The cost is 80.00
Our second class that we are offering is a "Try it Out" class. Come spend 3 hours in the studio, learning the beginning basics of "throwing" on the potters wheel. Clay and instruction are included for the try it class however no projects will actually be completed that day. The cost is 45.00. If you like it, you may continue on into the five week session class and add todays price into that class!!
Lastly, we offer Five-3 hour class for adults. Our throwing class will explore: wedging, centering clay, and basic throwing techniques. During that time we will learn to make basic forms, used by all potters such as cylinders and bowls. The course includes: instruction, firing and glazing of pottery made during your session. You will need to purchase a basic pottery tool kit, small bucket, old shirt or apron and towel, plus a large sponge for clean up. I will have clay for you to purchase at the studio. The price is 225.00 for the class.
