Welcome to Twin Moons Pottery - Making functional art since 2001

Twin Moons Pottery Winter 2011-2012

Welcome to Twin Moons Pottery... Winter is arriving in beautiful Western, Maryland. We have already had several frost covered mornings and even an early snow back in October. I never tire of seeing the gorgeous mountains, the lovely old stone homes and glowing sunsets we have been blessed with here in Hagerstown. As for Twin Moons Pottery, the wheel has been busy ever since ColorFest. We have had two students this Fall, learning the art of throwing and doing handbuilt projects. The students were busy every week learning something new and also trying out ideas of their own. I have also been preparing my bowls for the upcoming "Potters Bowl" that will be in February of 2012. In addition I have been working on a few pieces in the style of the old "Face Jugs". It will be interesting to see them when they come out of the kiln. Be sure to check out our Twin Moons Pottery, Face Book page and friend us...

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and may the upcoming 2012 be a blessed year for your family, Pamela

Some of our recent additions include new style mugs, goblets, canisters, bowls, platters, garlic and honey jars. There are also some cute critters that are in the works too as well as some more serious sculptured dragons.

Twin Moons Pottery is now teaching private and group lessons. Call or send us an email if you are interested for all the details.  Classes will be tailored to meet your needs as a budding artist.

Here at Twin Moons our pottery is created in porcelain and stoneware clays, all high fired to cone 10 in a reduction kiln. This makes our products, oven, dishwasher and microwave safe. All glazes are lead free and durable for use in your home.

Twin Moons has quite an inventory of many items for your gift giving needs. Handmade pottery is unique in that no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Each piece is touched by the hands of the potter and carefully constructed . It is my sincere hope that my pottery will become part of your daily rituals...

Blessings, Pamela
